Iliana and Brian’s Chicago engagement session has quickly become one of my favorite sessions! I was lucky enough to squeeze in their session bright and early one morning on my recent trip to Chicago. It wound up being a beautiful day and because we were up so early, we didn’t have too many people to fight against in the city in order to capture these portraits. Iliana and Brian were awesome to work with – they were really happy that we got to return to the location where Brian popped the question last year. Best of all, they were up for anything and it led to some really incredible shots, as you’ll see below!

Your engagement portraits should reflect who you are, what your love story is all about, and the life you’ve built together. To that end, I LOVE traveling to capture my couples in their environment. It’s important to document you two together in the city, the place you’ve fallen in love… to document your favorite coffee shop, or the bench you sit on every weekend to watch the water. Your portraits should show off the memories you’ve made with a beautiful, fresh eye. That’s why I love Iliana and Brian’s portraits – because they’re who these two are in portrait form.
